About Dr Hussain

Dr Shazia Hussain is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester. Her clinical expertise spans all coronary intervention, including angiography, angioplasty and stenting and complex coronary intervention. She has expertise in physiology-guided procedures, intracoronary imaging, calcium modification techniques. Dr Hussain is also involved in the management of valvular disease and treatment via TAVI (trans-aortic valve implantation), which is a minimally invasive procedure implanting heart valves to treat valvular disease.

With international training and a strong research background, she combines advanced expertise with a compassionate approach, with a particular focus on improving awareness and care for women’s heart health.
